I chose "Love Can Make You Happy", by MERCY as the theme for Ginger's Celebration of Life Memorial Service. The lyrics are poignant They are entirely reflective of the love Ginger and I shared. Its true that 'love will make you happy, if you find someone who cares to give a lifetime to you and who has a love to share". But there is another stanza that says "If you think you've found someone you'll love forever more, then it's worth the price you'll have to pay". For me the price is the pain of loss, when the one you love is gone from your arms. Yet, who among us would not trade the "price" of pain for a lifetime of love. Yes, dear sir, love can make you happy and it's simply the best!
And although the pain of loss is horrible and unbearable at times, to have the love that preceded it is what you will remember and hold close to your heart forever once the pain subsides.
I'm happy that you had a celebration of Ginger's life. This is so healthy for all concerned. She is smiling on you and all those whom she loved.
You will move through this and you will ALWAYS have the love of Ginger in your heart and that love will guide you and help you to love again.

Thank you for letting us know you are still on your journey to your new life.... and the song... "Love Can Make You Happy." I have not heard that in many years... I thought I had never heard the song, but upon searching it out, yes I had... but had completely forgotten..
Oh, to find someone that "could" and also "would" love forevermore...
I am glad you were able to experience what few of us have -- having that kind of love that is so very rich and deep, even though it has brought you much "pain" -- oh, to have such a love, even if it would be for only a short time!
My prayer for you is that it will be a life that will make you "Happy" once again.... not that I wish you "pain" but, that if once again lost, would be so very missed.
I have to admit, I have never experienced that kind of love, but I can only imagine what a love like that is like.... and I long for it.
As Julia said... "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." That's the way I feel right now..... standing .... waiting.... with the hope of someday being able to really know that.... "Love Can Make You Happy!"
