AT EVERY MOMENT EVERY CHOICE, AND EVERY DECISION YOU MAKE, EITHER TAKES YOU TOWARD OR AWAY FROM YOUR GOAL
It is a simple thought but think of what you want.........what you really want.......what you really really really want. Now think about what you must do to get what you want........what you really must do. What you really really must do. Now think about what you are doing every moment of every day......and the different kinds of thoughts, actions, exercises, distractions, efforts, plans, strategies, that you make and do. Don't try to over analyze. Just think about the little things tht you do. Every moment spent thinking is either time spent moving toward your goal or moments spent that take you away from your goal. Think about every action that you take. At every moment the action that you take either is moving you toward or away from your goal. Now that isn't to say that you can't have multiple goals and take different actions that are leading toward different goals. But the problem with that is if you get too many goals your efforts are fragmented and diffused and you probably won't have much success achieving all of them. THE SECRET was not a secret at all. It was and is based simply on the principle of focus and holding your goal focused in your mind so that the power of your thoughts and energies and efforts are concentrated on achieving what you truly hold in your heart or want in your life. Way before The Secret there was Napolean Hill, and Dale Carnegie and Normal Vincent Peale and way before all of them there were teachers and philosophers who understood the power of focus. So, from a practical standpoint remember that TIME is your most precious commodity. It is worth more than gold to you because how you spend it (TIME) determines how much gold you will have or how much gold (lifes riches) you will experience in your life. In every moment you have a choice to make of how you will spend (INVEST) that moment...........Invest it wisely to achieve your goals, hopes and dreams and the life you want.

Thank you for this particular post and for sharing the SECRET. I feel as if you have written it just for me, to guide me through my difficult passage this week. I must admit to having trouble keeping my viewing of your blog to non-peak hours, especially today.
This message of making every moment count by making informed decisions is a thought that I have been trying to communicate recently to my two daughters, my most loved ones. Finding this affirmation in your post has really, really, really helped. In my personal attempt to sort out my life post-chaos, I’ve stumbled upon this concept and have tried to live it mindfully.
It’s an absurdly accurate statement to suggest that what we think affects our future; thinking negative thoughts begets the negative and vice versa. Personally I make it a daily practice to concentrate on making mindful, informed decisions in my life, even about the most mundane. Firstly, this very act of focusing my thoughts and energies as such is cathartic. It’s just simply a good impulse. Secondly, it reminds me in the most basic manner to “live who I am” – currently my guiding principle.
I have given some reflection to your association with thinking positive thoughts and goals, as goal setting is a major theme in your writings. I am not entirely sure if I make this association. I think that I am focused, in fact very focused, on the process rather than with the result. My concern is to live what I feel but think very deeply and carefully what that is. I harbour some hopeful wish that by doing so it will bring me to the living of “who I am”.
I think that I am reluctant to impose any specific goal besides merely making daily, mindful, informed decisions about my life and letting the rest fall into place by allowing the hand of God or the will of the universe to unfold. This idea goes hand in hand with the very French concept of the word “epanouie” which is often applied to women of a certain age who are blossomed to their potential, often described in French as something of great beauty.
